Chantal decided to play ball in her last year. She didn’t play last year and did Soccer and Volleyball. They didn’t have a good team since being at DOC and this year they hit a sweet flow and got stronger and stronger as the year went along. They won gold at a tourney as the season was coming to the crunch. In LOSSA they won gold and they represented the region at OFSSA in London, Ontario.
I was super excited and pulled out the old songs mixed in with what they listen to and made a little mixtape. I was super nervous for OFSSA since there would be some super strong teams. I was at work and following on Twitter and YouTube which they had some difficulty streaming the games.
First game they came out and won 67-62 in a game that they took the lead by 10ish points and the other team chipped in and made it close at the end. The next day they won again and they didn’t play that good and it was basically a even game at the end of each quarter.
In the third game which I could watch on YouTube at work… they got smoked by Mother Theresa who won OFSSA the year before. The press killed them…. but what a great memory going to OFSSA to compete at a chance to go far into the Tourney. Smiley is below with Chantal who was born on the same night at the same hospital. I’m happy that they played together. They had a banquet to start of the tourney and the two shots are from the festivities.

i miss her being 5 years old… excited for her future
I can’t believe it. What?? Sixteen!!!
I remember every picture I have taken of her. I can close my eyes and hear her smile.
Her laugh. Her spirit.
She is giving and kind.
I’m honestly at a loss for words. I can type and type about her.
I love her so much and I miss her like crazy.
She is a beautiful woman in so many ways.
She is always my little Boo and will always share a half of my heart… no matter how old she becomes…
Going through some older pictures on the computer… and wanted to post a couple…
I used to ask Chantal if I could pay her a quarter for each image I snap. She said yes… so this is some of the shots I had to pay her to have a normal face without crazy faces. So funny. Oh well…
Update: We walked by the door in BCE Place and Chantal remembered the picture and she wanted to stand again so I can snap a picture with my phone.
I love her so much! I can’t believe she was so small and she has grown into such a sweet and beautiful little woman
She is my little nut. She is my mini-me. I love looking at old pictures and video and watching her get older. I love her vibrance, dedication, drive, goals, values, kindness and how she views the world and treats the people around her.
I miss her.
I love her.
Happy Birthday to a sweet little woman who I adore.
