Heidi and I travelled up to Silent Lake for our second annual fall camping trip to test out gear. It was not super cold and we even spent time lying on the beach soaking up the sunshine. Just a nice chill camping trip. Last September we went to Charleston Provincial Park near the end of the month and then to Silent Lake in October.Continue reading “Fall Camping: Silent Lake Provincial Park”
So beautiful from the deck. Pikturs from Sept.
Fall is a sweet time of the year. From Pumpkin Pie to Pumpkin Spice Latte’s from Bucks to all the things about changing seasons is a nice feeling. Yes… I wish the Summer would stretch a little further and it’s difficult to find that right time that you can still go outside on the courts for a little ball. It’s a time to give thanks for what you have even if anything is perfect or far from perfect. It will never be. It’s been nice to connect with more people from high school at the reunion as well as online after and catch up with so many old souls from those days.
It’s been also sweet to be up north a little and discover being isolated right on a lake. So many thoughts about that… I could do another post. Hopefully I can get back up there soon if I get the opportunity.
Music fills the earbuds all year but at this time. I’ve discovered a whack of new music that I’m filtering through which is nice to find some new artists. I’m also going through all the imported songs on my iTunes that I’ve never listened to and sorting them while commuting to work. I do need to get out more. It’s nice to go outside and walk. Shit… now I want a Pumpkin Spice Latte and I’m thinking about how I can get one before work. Hmmmm.
What’s good for me is my mind is more at peace and BatShitCrazyGinger is finally gone thank god.
One song that I just love is “Old Pine” by Ben Howard. It’s a great song for the morning and I have it in my morning playlist with some other gems. Hopefully… I can get out more on my bike and go for a nice trail ride and get a little muddy. I need to get it dirty a little before it goes away for the winter.
It was great to get outside and get into the Rouge River Valley. I do enjoy it inside the forest very much. The parking lot was super packed and everyone was walking as a family and pulling Grandma behind. Can’t complain… it’s good that many people were enjoying the day and the day off.
Embrace the day people! (skeets)
