Delayed | List3 | #81 of 101 List | Give Blood Twice Per Month For 8 Months

Saturday, March 5th, 2016

I won’t lie.  This scares me.  I hate needles.  Hate.  I remember when I was in Grade Two and I was in the hospital to take out my tonsils and it took 3 nurses and 1 doctor to hold me down to give me a needle in my leg before surgery.  I’m a big suck.  So I thought about giving blood two times per week for 8 months straight.

So I added it to my 3rd list of 101 Things To Do In 1001 Days!

Update:  Due to my Tattoo… I have to wait 6 months | So my follow up reminder is set for September 2017 to get this one completed.  I’ve signed up and registered on the Canadian Blood Services website.

As of November of 2015… I have done 32 loans from Kiva by only investing a total of $114 of my own money.  The people I’ve invited to Kiva have made 70 loans totaled.  That’s awesome.  So I’m going to put more of my money into Kiva and also get more people into it.

Step 1: Watch the Video to see what is Kiva.

Step 2: Click the link and try and do a little $25 loan to someone to see how it works..

Salam Neighbor Official Trailer

Friday, June 26th, 2015

Salam (Hello) Neighbor is a film and campaign to connect the world to refugees. The film follows the journey of Chris and Zach as the first filmmakers ever allowed to be registered and given a tent inside of a refugee camp.  I found out about these two from the little documentary called “Living On One Dollar” which I recommend highly.  I’m going to sit down with my two kids and watch this with them.

From meeting Um Ali, a woman struggling to overcome cultural barriers to the street smart, 10-year-old Raouf, whose trauma hides just beneath his ever present smile, Zach and Chris uncover inspiring stories of individuals rallying, against all odds, to rebuild their lives and those of their neighbors.

Please share this trailer and take action for a more peaceful world.
