In Progress | 35 of 101 | Knock My Movie List Down to 300 Titles & Review 530 Movies | Flicks w/ Chips + Dips

As of March 2020 my Watch List on IMDB has a total of 391 movies and the total movies rated on IMDB is 431.

This is the first task in my 101 Things To Do In A 1001 Days which I have over two years left to complete to get my list down to 300 titles.  I will do this one.  My goal is a movie every 2-3 days.  My list grows as I add titles and sometimes I take a couple away if I’ve gone completely cold on a title and would never click to watch it online.

Just wanted to have a spot where I could list some of the movies that I want to see. I like to ask people for some recommendations and I stick them in Evernote to keep track of. I will have to set it up better and bring some to the top and focus on those first.

Here is a list that will grow of some of the movies that I want to watch.

Recommended Movies below that I’ve scored a 8, 9 or 10 on IMDB

  • The Barkley Marathons: The Race That Eats It’s Young | 8/10 |In its first 25 years only 10 people have finished the race. Based on a historic prison escape.  This race is fucking crazy.
  • The Visitor – A college professor travels to New York City to attend a conference and finds a young couple living in his apartment. IMDb rates it a 7.0 and I rated it a 8 out 10. Great movie and worth a watch.
  • The Hangover – IMDb rates it a 7.8 and I gave it a 8. Liked this movie and it’s funny. Short Fat dude with a beard is my fav. The toothless guy is also good. I’m glad that is dumped the GF and is heading back to Vegas on a Date. Will have to see part II right away and part III is out next year.

  • Being Flynn – I enjoyed this movie. LOL It had Julianne Moore in it and I added it to my watch list. I gave it a 8 out of 10. I really enjoyed it and it hit home a bit with Robert De Niro a bit. It was rated a 6.4 on IDMb.
  • Life of Pi – This one was rated a 8.3 and I gave it a 7 out of 10. It had some really great visuals and it held me to my seat in parts… but at times… it was drifting for me. Worth it in the theatre more than a rent.
  •  2 Days In Paris – This movie scored a 6.8 out of 10. I really liked it. I scored it a 8/10. I liked the back and forth of it with the two main characters. Loved Adam in it and his mind.

    • Before Sunset 9/10 I love the movie and excited for the part 3 coming out in May 2013. What I loved about this movie is how they met. How they both took a chance and got off the train and hung out together for the night. I was in love with the long conversations back and forth that were uncut and it was really how people would talk as they get to know each other with the mistakes you make when talking to the opposite sex.
    • Argo – 10/10 – Great fucking movie. Had me on the edge of my seat for most of it. Excellent.
    • Before Sunrise – 9/10 this one is the first of the 3 and I really enjoyed the flow and how they exchanged long scenes like two people who are just starting to connect with each other.

    • Star Wars: Episode IV (New Hope 1977): 9/10 – I watched this back in 1977 with my Brother who took me. I watched it again with my Son and it was his first Star Wars experience. The rating of 9 was given to how much it impacted me back in my early years.
    • Suits (TV Series) – 9/10 | A must watch. So into this. Based in NYC but shot in Toronto. Harvey Spector is the most beautiful man on earth. His clothes, voice, confidence and his hair. • What Maisie Knew – 9/10 | I’m a parent… so this hit home. Part of you wants to smack Julianne Moore about what a bad parent she is. What makes this movie so awesome is that it is shot 100% through the eyes of Maisie. There is not one scene that she is not in. Really interesting to watch what the director will focus on since it’s through her mind.

    • Intouchables – 8/10 | Took two tries. The first was with subtitles and when LMS and I put it on in the afternoon… there was no subtitles and I think we watched about 40 minutes of them talking in French. Then we went upstairs. The second time… we watched it with subtitles. This movie has been on my list from the beginning and I was really looking forward to it. Omar Sy was great.
