Pending List3 | #22 of 101 | Take My Son To A Blue Jay Game

Wednesday, March 25th, 2015

bluejays

I really want to take my kids to Baseball Games downtown at the dome.  I want them to chill in the sun and listen to the buzz of the crowd and get used to the slow game.  This year… I want to start to do more individual things with them.  I’m going to set up my weekends and do some in the middle of the week.

One of my things is to sign him out of school and take him to a baseball game with just me for Daddy & Son Day.

Could you imagine going down this run?  I can’t even imagine the burn of your arms and legs just standing as you go down it.  Crazy course.  Crazy run.

Foodie Friday | Double Grilled Cheese Sandwhich Burger

Friday, August 30th, 2013

1-burger

This was really good.  Two grilled cheese sandwiches that make up the buns & a peppercorn/garlic burger in the middle with bacon.  Yummy.  Going to grill Donuts now on the BBQ and have that with ice cream.

This was also yummy also.  I would have this again.  It called for Rum.   Took store bought donuts and halved them and sprinkled with Cinnamon and put them on the BBQ for a bit.  Also,  made a little ice cream sandwich and also tried it in a bowl with BBQ’d peaches.

Tonight is Molly Maxwell which is a great little film.  Synopsis: At Phoenix Progressive School, where everyone tries to outdo each other with creative self-expression, 16-year-old Molly Maxwell would rather be invisible than risk revealing herself as completely ordinary. When her young, handsome, disillusioned English teacher enters the picture and allows her to just be herself, Molly is suddenly able to flourish. As their student-teacher bond becomes more intimate, she begins putting herself on the line in unexpected ways while pursuing what she wants. But with each awkward, beautiful step towards an impossible romance, Molly risks alienating everyone she loves.

Not only do you get to watch the movie but there is live music each night there is a film.  Tonight is Bryce Jardine.  Then to fill your belly there is Food by “The Saucy Pierogi” and Kanto by Tita Flips.

So it’s down by the water in Toronto where you get Food (extra cost) and get to hear a live band… then watch a flick.  Tickets are $15 each.

If you can’t make the movie tonight… check out the August 25th Movie called “Kings of Summer” which looks really good…  check out the trailer below:

Check out the Festival online here for all the info and to get tickets.  They move it inside if it rains.

Also is a free outdoor Movie Festival at Christie Pitts in Toronto which is pretty cool for a free little movie in the park on a summer night.  Check that out too!  Something to set yearly reminders to check the website and just pencil in the movies you want to take in.

Toronto Christmas Market | The Distillery District

Sunday, December 16th, 2012

The Distillery District at Christmas time is a magical place filled with buzz and excitement on a chilly winter night.  We all need to escape and experience the sounds, smells, new tastes with the people around us that we know and don’t know.
