OSE Video | April 8th to 16th 2016

Monday, April 18th, 2016

We hit Snakes & Lattes and we had a blast downtown.  Another thing we like to do is when we see posters in the underground we like to post like the people in the posters.

Below is my video for the period:

I wanted to take the kids to the Home Opener of the Blue Jays but it was nuts to try and get tickets… so we headed back downtown for the Home Opener Weekend and watch them win on Sunday.  The only 3 seats were nosebleeds in right field.  The kids had a blast and the guy trying to start the wave was hilarious.

Next was heading down to Game One of the Toronto Raptors push into the NBA Playoffs at Jurassic Park.  We had a blast and it was nuts downtown with all the Raptors Peeps!  The kids loved being on the big screen and being on TV.

We were all decked out in Jerseys and gear.  Noah work my 2001 player issued D.Dial jersey and it was funny with fans asking if he was a die-hard fan with the seldom used guards jersey.

Eastern 100%

(above: hanging out at work in the front lobby waiting to start the night and chillin)

Working a whack and not shooting that much.  I’m sure the next video will change and the warmer weather will open up getting out more and also being more active.

It’s nice when my daughter posts something on a photo sharing app and I can see her sweet face.

It’s nice to see my little man online when he hit wifi and had his ipod with him.  😉

OSE Everyday | March 2016

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016

I’m trying to get back in the swing of things recording and documenting.

I’ve decided to get the OSE going again and I will try not to stop.  Below is the first part of March up to about the 20th.  It’s boring since I’ve been working and sleeping.  I also wanted to grab some Lisbon clips so the kids and see the city and get an idea of what the country is like.

ok… I’m continuing to record… everyday…

OSE Everyday | Video Twenty | March 2016 from Dan Deveau on Vimeo.

This video starts off at the beginning of the March where the Raptors are finding their groove and I’m working the late shift at work from 11pm to 7am.  In the middle of the month I get to see the kids and we hang out at the “Super 4”.  We filmed our first “Thug Life” and you can view the series here.  I’m sure we will keep making them.  We also did a little hike in the Rotary Park marsh.  It’s been hard to talk to the kids on the phone and the end of the video highlights a trip I want to take with them near the end of the year to Lisbon.

Never leave your phone unattended or this will happen.

I’ve moved over all my OSE videos to YouTube and you can find the links here.  March was a pretty boring month of working nights.

OSE May 2015 Part One from Makeit Count on Vimeo.

I started this project in May of 2014 to document a little bit from each day. I’m looking forward to doing this daily for the rest of my life. They will be released monthly from now on.  I will also try and cut down the time.  I’m sure the videos will evolve over time.  They are pretty boring for the most part… but my kids like them.

To view the other videos from the start of the project you can view them all on my “One Second Everyday” Channel here:

Feedback and comments are always welcome.

One Second Everyday | The Videos Already Released | May 2014 to Present |

Sunday, December 7th, 2014

I enjoy doing this project and would like to do this the rest of my life to document it.  I basically shoot a little bit of video everyday and I just use iMovie on my iPod to edit it up and release it every month.  My son really enjoys the project and my daughter now wants to make a “One Second Everyday” project also.  I enjoy making them.  I would assume that they are pretty boring to watch.  I enjoy them for the basic fact that I like to document life in many different ways and it’s also kind of neat to review them and reflect on the moments that are positive and not so fun to go through and all the little boring moments in between.

2016, 2015, 2014 + the Don’t Tell Mom Series which has some of the first videos I started making in 2012 after separating from my wife that I shot on my first generation iPod Touch and edited with the crappy Windows Movie Maker that was free on my computer.  You will also find some separate little films that were not in my OSE videos.  Anything made after 2014 was shot on my iPod Touch and edited on the powerful iMovie app on my iPod Touch.
