Old Man Playing Hoops | Simcoe + Bethune Courts, Peterborough

Saturday, August 10th, 2013

It’s nice to get out and try and run up and down like the old days.  Everyone is basically half my age.  My calf injury that followed me from last season has not come back in the past month.

Goofing with the camera and have it shoot a shot every 8 seconds.  It’s very rare you get it to fire when your shooting.   LOL I could only find one of my longer socks.  There is another on inside the right somewhere.  Shooting in between games.  I brought two shirts since it does not take long for it to be drenched.

bike | get around | active

Friday, June 14th, 2013

found a bike against a tree with a free sign.  knocked on the door of the home and asked if i could have it.  just needed a new bike tube for the tire.  it’s a great bike to get around.

I have gone for a couple of 2/3 hour rides.  Google maps says by bike from Peterborough to Ajax is 91km’s and would be approx 5 hours.

New Year’s Day Hike | Warsaw Caves | Limestone Plain Trail | 4km

Tuesday, January 1st, 2013

Had the opportunity to get back up north and go hiking on New Year’s Day.  Went to Warsaw Caves Conservation Area and hit the snow covered Limestone Plain Trail.  It was a nice walk with some music playing in my ears.  The trail is really nice.  I didn’t hit the caves, but plan to return with the kids in the summer and go caving with our headlamps.

This year… my goal is to go hiking more and get out and explore.
