This song is #12 on my “most played” songs in iTunes. The lyrics haunt me in a good way. Just love the sound of Dallas. 3 years ago today… it played in a earbud against a wall… After the song finished she could take her hands off the wall. I needed the entire song to figure out how she kissed and I needed a head-start. As the story goes… Two hours later… we went for drinks and left being in front of that wall. What a fucking crazy night. Mind blown.
So for the entire length of the song… I could stand there and kiss her and all she could do is stand against a wall with her hands to her sides. Did I mention it was the first time I met her in person…
I’m late picking my song of the quarter this year. We will call this Q3 of 2017. I still can’t decide on a song that represents my 2nd quarter of 2017… I will think of that one and update the blog.
“Northern Wind”
Sending shivers down my spine
You’re like fallen leaves
In an autumn night
You’re the lullaby
That’s singing me to sleep
You are the other half
You’re like a missing piece
Oh my love
Oh my love
Oh my love
You don’t know
What you do to me
You are all four seasons
Rolled into one
You’re like the cold December snow
In the warm July sun
I’m the jet black sky
That’s just before the rain
Like the mighty current
Pullin’ you under the waves
Oh my love
Oh my love
Oh my love
You don’t know
What you do to me
I’m the darkest hour
Just before the dawn
And I’m slowly sinking
Into the slough of despond
Like an old guitar
Worn out and left behind
I have stories left to tell
They’re of the healing kind
Oh my love
Oh my love
Oh my love
If I could just
Find you tonight
If I could just find you tonight
Oh my love
Do do do [x5]
