Such a fun trip to take the kids down to Nova Scotia for a week and visit with family and explore a bit of the South Shore. Created a little video made up of little quick video clips shot with my cracked iPod and brought into iMovie to make a little keepsake of the trip. I will add some more images into this blog post shortly.
Morning… another release of this video project. It’s a little bit of video from each day that kind of gives you a idea of little things in my world or what I’m doing or battling with… You can hit the links in the pulldown menu above and view all my OSE videos that date back to May of 2014 when I started the project.
It’s nice to get out and play some ball and run those legs. I should be doing way more. It was also nice to get the kids and do some Stealth camping in Ajax. We snuck into the forest just behind Subway near Bayly & Westney and followed the river to our little clearing that we like. Can’t beat camping with a Tim Horton’s not too far away.
Kids had each a pack and we also went out and bought some knives that they could carry around their waste. We featured them in vol 3 of our Thug Life Series. We pitched a tent by the river and we also brought a saw to cut wood for a fire and we cooked dinner over the fire which was cool. We also played many rounds of Uno, “Ass-Hole” which is a fun little game that we like and also I taught them how to play “Poker”. Don’t tell Mom. She thinks we camped in the Rouge where there is showers. Kids were safe and that’s all that matters. The fun we have is none of her business as long as they are happy and safe.
We bought a cooler bag and put drinks and sank it at the bottom of the creek to keep drinks and sealed food cold. You can see from the photo that Chantal took some coals from the fire and made some war paint for under her eyes.
It was a fun little camping trip and the kids liked how we were creative at roughing it.
Also the Raptors were eliminated from the NBA Conference Finals and it’s crazy that they were a couple of wins away from the NBA Finals and they lost to the eventual champions. Crazy.

This month’s video starts off with a tradition of a payday breakfast alone before work on one of the two riches days of the month. The Raptors are still working in the Playoffs and Game 7 against the Miami Heat was going to take place on the Sunday I had the kids. The kids were really looking forward to watching it and we played some pool in Ajax and headed over to a bar in Ajax to watch it and grab some dinner and drinks.
The kids were laughing at me for being so nervous watching the game. I just wanted a cushion of points and they finally got that at the end and I started to feel good about the game.
I also had the kids and wanted to bring them up to Peterborough to see about sleeping in the tent. We were going to be doing some stealth camping but I was not sure if they would be cold so we decided to sleep in the backyard. We made vol 2 of our Thug Life series and I got to be the thug. You can watch vol 2 here and the others in the series.
Also was Game 3 of the Raptors vs. Cavs. We decided to get a 50 pack of Timbits and each time the raptors score 3 points we could eat a Timbit. LOL we were cheering buckets.
We also played some Frisbee Golf along the Otonabee River which is very hard. We were playing with crappy Dollarstore disks. The hardcore players had a bag with about 15 of them. We need to each get a good disk to play this challenging game.

LOL all my OSE videos are pretty boring. Every second night is the Raptors in the NBA Playoffs so after work I watch the games taped on the PVR.
So sweet with the Raptors this year where they knocked off the Pacers in Game 7 which is a huge hurdle. It’s nice to see the kids following the team and also catching up over text with LMS who is also starting to be a little fan.
Didn’t see my kids this period. I did end up editing the round of “Honest Answers” that we shot downtown at Honest Ed’s. You will find it in the video below.
It’s nice to get back in the swing of things with making these all on my cracked screen iPod. It’s fun to play with the edits on iMovie inside the iPod and use video and sound from other clips to overlay. In the video…
I finally made the mug that I’ve been holding on to for a while and personalize it a little with a little slogan that i love and a little ‘jsdoit’ with three dots underneath to represent the 3 of us and the year my second life started and my sig on the side.
Raps are still battling in the playoffs and we went down to the ACC to stand and cheer them on and I enjoyed watching at home on tape delay after work. I wear my Del Curry warm-ups for good luck on the couch.
We also hit Snakes and Latte’s in Toronto and this time the Annex location which was so much fun. This was our second trip to Snakes and we really liked this location better being near Honest Ed’s and so easy to get to off the subway.
We also shot a round of “Honest Answers” in Toronto… so I have to edit that up. I’m also going backwards and posting in order all the OSE videos that I started filming in May of 2014 to YouTube. I will break them down into shorter videos and add them to a playlist… so they can all be watch in a row. You can view the playlist here and I will upload videos to it every other day.
