In Progress – List3 | 1 of 101 | Knock My Movie List Down to 300 Titles | Flicks w/ Chips + Dips

Monday, March 20th, 2017

As of August 20th, 2016 my watch list is 444 movies.

As of March 22th, 2017 my watch list is 418 movies.

This is the first task in my 101 Things To Do In A 1001 Days which I have over two years left to complete to get my list down to 300 titles.  I will do this one.  My goal is a movie every 2-3 days.  My list grows as I add titles and sometimes I take a couple away if I’ve gone completely cold on a title and would never click to watch it online.

Just wanted to have a spot where I could list some of the movies that I want to see. I like to ask people for some recommendations and I stick them in Evernote to keep track of. I will have to set it up better and bring some to the top and focus on those first. I’m sure there is 400 movies not listed. Life is long… I’ll try to list a sentence or two after I see them…

Here is a list that will grow of some of the movies that I want to watch.

To see my FULL WATCHLIST on IDMb, you can visit it here.

The movies I have watched since being separated are listed below in this blog post…

Movies | Want To Watch More | Fight Winter Blues + You Should Too

1-feb tumblr 20134I want to watch more movies.  On Tuesday’s you can rent online movies from Cineplex for $2.50  and you can also rent movies from iTunes.  So why the hell not hook up the old laptop on the TV and sit in and watch one.  These are some of the movies… I really want to see shortly.

Wednesday Movie Bucket List | The Savages

Wednesday, July 10th, 2013

Last year, I viewed The Savages and found it a worth of a rent.  It’s from 2007 and it’s a real life feel to something we all face as we get older and the people around us get older also.  I gave it 6 out of 10.  Both Laura Linney and Philip Seymour Hoffman does an excellent job in this movie.  I picked it up from the Local Library… you should too!

I’m going to get back in the swing of things and start documenting all the movies I watch.  I rank them all on IMDb and I have a long “watch list”.  I think I have watched more movies in the past year than I watched in the past 10 years before that.

Movie Bucket List | Life Of Pi

Wednesday, December 19th, 2012

Had the opportunity to see The Life Of Pi and really enjoyed it.  It was rated a 8.4 on IDMb.   I would score it a 7 out of 10.  It kept you on the edge of our seat now and again and also left you wanting more in certain parts.  Overall… it’s better in the Theatre in 3D than rented.

For tonight… I put on the Peterborough group of Couchsurfing a request for anyone to come out for a coffee at Nata’s and then we would head over to the Theatre and watch a movie the group wanted to see.  It’s kind of neat that total strangers are up for meeting strangers for a cup of coffee and watch a movie together.  I would suggest anyone to join and use it for the “groups” alone for activities and meet-ups that are local and fun.  One person in the Peterborough group suggested a little Pot-Luck dinner after Christmas and that sounds like a nice idea.

Movie Bucketlist Review | Junebug

Wednesday, December 5th, 2012

I recently viewed Junebug on the laptop.  It’s from 2005 and I gave it a 9 out of 10 kisses against the wall as you will see when the movie opens.  It’s about a dealer looking to secure “outsider” art as she travels from Chicago to North Carolina to meet her new in-laws, challenging the equilibrium of this middle class Southern home.

I really enjoyed it for some reason and it stuck with me.  I feel in love with the main character who is played by Embeth Davidtz.  Loved her hairstyle and her accent.

The opening scene has a kiss that stopped me in my tracks.  I blogged about it here.

Amy Adams was excellent in this movie.  It scored a 7 out of 10 on IDMB.

Teckie Thursday | IDMb Website + My Bucket List | Who Wants To See A Movie

Thursday, November 8th, 2012

A neat website that lets you create a watchlist of movies you want to see as well as ones that you might have missed.  So many little gems out there.  I recently sat down and looked at all the movies going backwards and as I created the list… it brought me other movies to consider.

Based on the member ratings as well as some trailers… I now have a list of 267 Movies to watch.

They can be sorted by type or by rating.  Then as I watch them… they come off my list. I am always asking people to recommend me movies that they have seen and loved and thought nobody has ever really seen it.  I add them to my Evernote to keep track of and I also add quick voice memo’s into Evernote when I am watching the trailers so I can add to my list.

You can view my list here.

Watching movies is way better than TV.  I have started watching them alone and I enjoy watching them with people.
