My song of the quarter for 2Q for this year is The House That Heaven Built.  They are on my list of bands to see that is attached to my 101 Things To Do in a 1001 Days to see a simple 30 concerts over timeline of the current 101 list.

October 15th they are coming to Toronto and I think it would be wild.  I might be the oldest person there but I don’t care.  The House That Heaven Built is like an anthem from 2012.  This is the first time since then that I’ve noticed that they are coming.  🙂

You coming?

Song Of The Quarter | March 2016 | Japandroids | The House That Heaven Built

September 11th, 2012 I downloaded this song from iTunes from the Japandroids.  It made me smile and excited.  Two guys from British Columbia.  One going nuts on the drums and one on the guitar.  It screamed of the summer that just passed.  I almost made it the song of the year for 2012 that Ben’s “The Fear” was picked.

This one is in my gym mix now.  It’s the kind of song that the music video wins you over.

To me this is a summer roadtrip song.  You can find it on my roadtrip mixtape.

The Celebration Rock album is pretty sweet.  I’ve downloaded 6 songs from them that are perfect for the summer when you are in the mood for some rock.

Summer Road Trip Songs | Editing My Playlist

Tuesday, January 20th, 2015

I’m cleaning up the “Road Trip” playlists that have more indie rock and songs that would be perfect for a long trip up north in the summer with the windows down.  I’m working right now on more of a retro feel with the 2nd one.

The first one is released now and you can find it here.
