Song Of The Year 2019 | Bon Iver w/ Sh’diah

2019 was a year of disappearance. Well, that’s not true… but it was a year of working and not living. The highlight of the year was going on an epic trip with my kids to Europe and a song from that rings in my ears. I used to drop songs on the quarter, and I need to start doing that again in 2020. So, if one song can sum up the year it would be this one from Bon Iver. It’s called sh’diah and it’s simply beautiful. I used it in the sunset part of our Europe vlog. It’s close to a minute and a half into it.

Wow… the last time that I posted a song of the quarter was at the end of March in 2018. What the hell happened to me. Oh well… I can try and get it back on track going forward. Here are all my previous songs.

Yes… I like Bon Iver.  They are relaxing. (old BI) and the new one is different.  Once it sinks into your skin… it moves you.  maybe i’m weird.  yes… i’m weird.  But for the people that get it…  we are on the same team.

So this is my present to you.  Download ear juice here.

Bon Iver appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon a short time ago and it was magical, where the group debuted “8 (Circle),” one of the chiller and more conservatively titled tracks from their just released album 22, A Million.  Which was as sweet pick up on iTunes at the end of September.  It was the group’s first public performance since they debuted the entire album live at last month’s Eaux Claires Festival in frontman Justin Vernon’s hometown of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Below is some tracks from the new album released on the bands YouTube channel.

I just love the creativity of the songs with experimenting with things against the grain.

Music For Your Head-Holes | RY X | Wanna Lie Down? |

Ry-X-Press-2

Excited for Ry X to come to Toronto and I find his music beautifully haunting.  That makes you want to relax, think, kiss someone, lie in the dark.

Sweat is one of those songs below.  I find it sexy.  If you look you will notice the lovely Lady India Bourne with him supporting his European Tour.

RY X is new to me… sort of a Bon Iver feel…  love both tracks above and the one below.
