Recent Flicks & Trying To Complete #1 of 101 Things To Do In 1001 Days

A little look back at the most recent flicks I’ve watched.  One of my 101 things to do in 1001 days is to have my watchlist drop below 300 and my rated movies to be over 400.  As of today my watchlist is at 299 movies and my rated movies is 385.  I will complete this soon.  Below is movies I’ve watch in the theaters or steamed mostly on Putlocker and a bit on Netflix.

The Mountain Between Us: 7/10  Kate is great and I would fall in love with her also on the mountain too like “Stringer”.

Disobedience: 6/10 (Rachel McDreamy kisses a woman 😉

12 Strong: 6/10  I don’t know why but I end up watching war movies.  This one was based on a true story.

The Shape of Water: 6/10  I’m a sucker for love stories… but this one was too weird

Outside In: 6/10

Only The Brave: 7/10 Don’t play with matches in the forest.

Meru: 7/10 I should have ranked this one an 8.  Who in the world has the idea they want to try and complete that… I don’t know.  Wild climbing movie.

Phantom Thread: 8/10  I’m always in love with a movie like this.  The quirkiness of him and the tease.  She is stunning.  Her voice.  This one never came out in the theatre here so could not have a date night.

Steve Jobs: 5/10  Not feeling this one.  Maybe since the charging cord on my iPhone is so damn expensive to replace.

Pedal The World: 5/10  I was expecting more.

Human Flow: 8/10  What a great doc and so important in today’s world and hopefully it teaches people compassion and helps find solutions.

Lady Bird: 6/10

Under The Arctic Sky: 5/10  At the screening at the Banff Film Fest I attended was a doc about one of these surfers.  I was hoping for more with this one.  The doc I watched at the Film Fest was much better.

Backcountry: 5/10 Hold your tits… this one freaked me out.  Not sure why I gave it a 5.  It feels like a 6.

Hunt For The Wilderpeople: 6/10  This one was funny and the little dude had me laughing.

The Carter Effect: 7/10 A must for every Raptors fan.

The Circle: 5/10 No wonder it’s on Netflix.

The One I Love: 7/10

Flint Town (First Series): 8/10  Excellent doc on the struggles with trying to police one of the highest city with crime in the United States.

Casino 5/10  This movie could have been a little shorter and it would have been more powerful.

The Wall 6/10: Another war movie.

Jarhead: 5/10  LOL it was war week

Breach: 7/10

Touching the Void:  7/10 A great doc about climbing the impossible.

Like Crazy: 8/10  I’m a sucker for chick flicks.

Two Lovers 6/10

Source Code: 7/10

Ghost Writer: 6/10

In The Loop: 5/10  One dude in this movie had so many funny lines.  Just would not want him to be my boss.

The Post: 7/10  Nice movie on the big screen.

Here is the rest of the movies I’ve watched leading up to this blog post with the rest of them.

Newness was interesting with relationships in today’s world.

What if… was a great movie shot in Toronto and it was great to see so many places they used.  Jessica in Miss Slone had killer clothes.

Lion was a 9/10… a must watch.  Sully and Everest was also great.

Spotlight was a great movie.  What a story that broke the church around the North America.
