Completed #71 of 101 | Purchase A Camping Hammock

Friday, March 30th, 2018

I’ve always wanted a Hammock.  For backpacking or camping or relaxing in the summer.  I actually picked up one each for the kids also for this summer.  I hoping to do some hiking with them and one task is that all three of us will set up a camp somewhere and spend the weekend suspended in our own little shelter complete with a mosquito net.  Can’t wait to try it out and get used to it.

The CHILLAX Hammock is a double travel hammock with integrated suspension. Ultralight parachute silk is super compact and portable. Patented SmartHooks allow you to hang your hammock and adjust rope length in record time. You never have to tie a knot! Hammock and suspension are packed into an integrated travel bag. The bag or “stuff sack” is sewn onto the hammock so you never lose it. While you are hammocking, the travel bag hangs down and becomes a pocket for your phone, keys, or drink. No trees nearby? No problem. Detach the suspension loops (hammock handles) and the CHILLAX Hammock quickly converts into a beach or picnic blanket. The CHILLAX hammock is roomy enough for 1 or 2 people. Hammocking is better with friend(s)!

Two Hammocks purchased for the kids also.  I picked up two like the one below with a mosquito net on them.  Can’t wait to get outside and try them out.

I had a chance to bring it with me camping and it was great and I loved that it had a little bugnet attached to it.  Great little hammock that both the kids now have.

Completed | List3 | #19 of 101 Things To Do In 1001 Days | iPhone For My Daugher

Monday, June 26th, 2017

Recently, I picked up an iPhone for my Daughter which was long overdue.  With that the magical wifi suddenly appeared at home where they live and opened up the iron curtain.  This allows her to be free with communication between her friends and her and also more importantly with them for me.  I also have my older iPhone to my son since his iPod magically disappeared for many weeks after he was able to connect it to wifi at home.  It magically reappeared.  Anyways… he has my old iPhone to log into wifi at home to message me which has been sweet.

I broke out my Daughter from school one day and we went to the mall to pick up her phone and set it up and download the apps she wants and we hit “bucks” to get a fancy whipped cream drink.

I will get my first tattoo.  I know what I’m going to get.  I should have gotten it 22 months ago.

First one will go between my elbow and my wrist

new collage2

Above is my idea for one.

I thought I should write it out once and how I write it for the first time should be my first tattoo.  I’m silly that way.

I’ve written it out on my arm to get the hang of hit with my mind.  It’s simply the word… “enough” meaning… “enough is enough” with many things in my life.  I’ll snap some pictures when it’s happening and I’ll shoot some video to document it.  It’s a little simple one but I think having it as a daily reminder will be good.

enough is enough ( fitness, heath, nutrition, being bullied by my ex, living tiny, traveling )  see makes sense to me.  a daily reminder.

I will post some photos and video soon…

Completed | List3 | #29 of 101 | Purchase GoPro For My Daughter

Friday, December 23rd, 2016

Two years ago… I gave my Daughter my “action camera” which was a GoPro knock off that I picked up for 100 bones at Black’s Camera.  This Christmas… I picked up a Hero3 for Chantal to help her with her filmmaking.  That little action camera was passed down to Noah.  Hopefully they can shoot some creative footage and this March I’m going to get her a little laptop to help store and edit the footage.

List3 | #75 of 101 Things in 1001 Days | Try To Ski On The Water + Not Be Dragged

Sunday, July 31st, 2016

gerund or present participle: water-skiing
  1. skim the surface of water on waterskis.

In my list of 101 things to do in 1001 days… one of the things I’ve always wanted to do is to try to skim on the top of the water and not be dragged like a ball of skin half under the water.  While in Nova Scotia… I was at Kevin’s and they had a boat and he had some new ski’s that he wanted to try out.  He asked me if I wanted to try and I jumped at the chance.

I’m dying to try it again.  I could not get out of the water and I had 4 or 5 attempts.  So hard.  My mind thinks what would have happened if I got up on the water.  I was pretty good at sitting in the tube 😉

You can view my OSE video for July that covers the trip and our dinner at Kevin’s and playing with the boat.

Chantal also gave it a shot and her hands were not strong to hold the bar to pull herself out of the water.  I thought she would have the best shot from the Deveau’s.  Kevin ripped it up and went for a while and spilled twice.
